Ingredients
- 1 & 2/3 cups of all purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 & 3/4 cup of chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F
- Beat butter, sugars and vanilla until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and continue to combine.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
- Add the flour mix to the sugar mixture and beat on low until combined.
- Turn the mixer off and stir in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
- Scoop tablesppon-sized balls onto an oven tray with a couple of inches between the dough balls.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes (until golden).
- Remove from oven and allow to cool on the sheet for a minute. Then move them to a wire rack to finish cooling.
