Ingredients
- 4 egg whites
- 1 cup white sugar
Method
- Preheat oven to 240°F.
- Whisk egg whites until stiff (3-5 minutes in a stand mixer).
- Add half the sugar and beat until combined.
- Repeat with the remaining sugar (for about 5 minutes).
- Fit a pastry bag with a large nozzle, then fill the bag with the meringue mixture.
- dab a small amount of meringue mixture in the corners of an oven tray and large parchment paper on top.
- Pipe the mixture onto the parchment paper in the sizes and shapes you want.
- Bake for around 90 minutes (the meringues shouldn't be browning).
- Remove from oven and allow to cool for at least 15 minutes.
